Push Back & Cantilever Racking System
Push Back Racking System

Push Back Rack is totally different and opposite from Live Rack. Live rack is inclined, using gravity force and is 100% FIFO system; whereas Push back rack is non-inclined and 100% FILO (first-in-last-out) as goods are entered and exit through a point. It comprises special beams and push back sub frames assemblies running front to back in each bay. The sub frames run in track mounted on the beams. When the lift trucks places a first pallet in the bay it rest on the frame and when then second pallet is push in it push the first pallet back in the storage this is repeated up to four times. So as removing the first pallet will enable the second pallet to move forward.

Advantages
-Saves space
-Saves cost
-For warehouse building structure that are long in length

Disadvantages

-Detailed planning of what products to store first at the back is needed to reduce congestion as its a first in last out strategy
-Not all goods are easy access
-Need to have high cooperation with order pickers

Cantilever Racking

Cantilever racks is perfect for the warehouse, on –site, or other storage locations. Besides that, it has adjustable arms to accommodate various load sizes, and supported from the back and sides, giving totally clear access from the front, which enables very good utilization of shelf space. Example of storage of long loads or rolls like timber, pipes, tubes and bars (refer to the pictures below)
